GET RICH BOOK
What is it about?
Getting rich!   ...through saving. Tips and tricks that are handy to people whose ambitions often empty their pockets.

This book is the result of one of the tips. See if you can figure out which one!

This is for those folks who, so far, have had no success at saving for the future - its cheap - its easy to send - its fun - and has a chance at helping find a way to increase the size of the bank account.

The First Review
The first review of the book, as seen on Amazon.com, is very useful to folks considering a purchase:
"Disclaimer: I know Matt Personally.

Matt's "Get Rich Book" is a gentle introduction to the world of personal finance. It is so gentle, in fact, that I could summarize the book in one word for you. But that wouldn't be fun.

And fun it is. It is a sunny and cheerful introduction to managing money by tried and tested principles. It is simple and easy to understand. Here are several things the book is

  • A Funny Book
  • A Flip Book (honest)
  • A Work Book (yes, it invites you to use it)

Here are several things it isn't.

  • A comprehensive guide to Wealth Management Before and After you death.
  • A compendium of ideas on Personal Financial Management
  • A book that uses words like "compendium" and "death"

As sad as it is to say, you know at least a few people who could use the elementary ideas to better their lives (seriously). You know that friend of yours from college who is using credit card debt to fly to Bahamas or arrange the wedding. Yes, them. Give them this book. Actually, buy ten copies and discreetly whack them with the stack. It will do them good. Honest.

And while you are at it, read it too. It's cheap, simple to follow, quick to read and very very funny.

Oh, the one word summary I mentioned? Save"

Thermostat is a Switch
If you're cold, don't crank up the heater thermostat up to 80 or 90 thinking your house will get warm faster. It doesn't speed up the heating process. Set the thermostat a a couple degrees less than the temperature you want so that the heater turns off before the house gets too warm. The thermostat is just a switch to tell the unit to turn off/on at a certain point. Save energy and money by not over heating or over cooling your house.
